There is no question that fashion leggings are the big necessity in the female wardrobe. They are stylish, comfortable, and pretty much look good with any pair of shoes. So naturally most people wouldn't expect such a simple item to cause so many problems to an outfit.
Well here is the problem, most people seem to confuse fashion leggings and tights, and use them as if they are interchangeable. And for the record, if you are reading this, and saying "they are the same" then I am definetly talking to you. Now there are some who may feel that it is attractive to expose their body parts to the world, and some who find it attractive to see it in public. Well this isn't for those people. This is for those of you out there that realise that not everyone wants to see what you got. So because of that I've come up with a few tips to help you wear leggings without getting laughed at.
1) Wear underpants! You would think this would be common sense, but as I was always taught "common sense ain't common."
2) Try and stay away from see through leggings. If you need clarification as to why ........ please revisit rule 1.
3) Wear tops that extend to the middle of your thighs. The growing fashion trend is to wear just a top and leggings. If you have ignored rules 1&2 then this rule is a must. Leggings are not regular pants, stop wearing them like they are.
4) No your body shape and dress accordingly. Believe it or not, I think pretty much any woman can wear leggings and it look flattering, however if you have ignored the first three rules, then it won't really matter now will it.
5) Prepare your body for what happens next. Some off you will heed the warnings above, and some of you will ignore them, however if you do chose to ignore them, then you should probably ensure your body is ready to be on display. A while back the Daily Mail did an article on how leggings we're bad for the body and actually cause lazy muscles and flabby stomachs, you can read the full article here, so it is important for every woman to realise that while wearing leggings may temporarily hide lumps and bumps it may be creating a more long term problem.

Now, I understand the pairing Cowell has the ability to take a show from nothing and grow it to be something mammoth. As well, anyone who knows anything about Will.i.am, knows that he is a huge tech guy and will easily be one of the best possible promoters for this kind of show to cross into pop culture.
I have to be honest though, I'm not feeling it. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and others like them all made their way to the top on their own, with their own ideas and foresight on how to get there, and by going against what mainstream thought, not conforming to it. Minimalizing what they did and putting it into a cookie cutter show format doesn't find the next tech mogul, it manufacturers what already exists. Well lets be honest Cowell has made a great career for himself manufacturing instead of finding real talent, so I guess this shouldn't be much different.
I really do believe that pop culture is smarter than this shows idea, and I really don't believe it will have any real staying power, but I'm not Simon Cowell, and I don't have his money, so I guess we will have to see. What do You think? Can this show concept really work?

Now all you have to do is start your day in a good mood and your outfit will do the rest.

Recently a friend of mine started a semi permanent makeup studio, and I have to admit, I knew nothing about this industry at all, or that it was an industry for that matter. However after talking with her for a while about the whole subject, I was intrigued at the possibilities this held for most woman. Being married I understand how woman value their appearance, and as a man I have had to accept the financial importance that is placed on this fact as well. So naturally when it was explained that in some cases this was a more cost effective option naturally got curious and wanted to look deeper onto this new beauty world.
Now, I know I may get attacked for this, but I'm going to take a mans approach to this whole thing. So let's say you are an average female who works in an office environment, maybe has a bit if a social life on the weekends, and of course feel that you should always look your best in order to feel your best. Let's also say you are walking done your local high street, and realize that you need some lipstick and lip liner, because you have run out. Again I'm married, so so far this is an average shopping trip for most guys out with their ladies. So anyway you get over to the makeup, and the price jumps out at you. Now fair enough you can get cheap lipstick, and eye liner, and other items, however it only last for a short time during the day. Lets say it rains, or you want to eat something, your gonna have an issue with a lot of makeup products in this situation. Not to mention your gonna need more makeup in a few months because you will have used it all.
Okay, now let's say you could have one semi permanent makeup treatment and not have to go back every couple of months, but you could actually go 3-5 years, or possibly longer without needing to buy makeup. You can eat with no issues, no worries of over priced water proof makeup, you can even go swimming and your makeup will still look as flawless as it did before you went in. No lets say the cost isn't really any different than the cost of continuously buying over priced makeup? Pretty easy choice right? Well maybe not, but it really does depend on the person. I guess the way I look at it, it's not how much it cost, but how long do you want to maintain your beauty? And 3+years is a long time to be maintenance free.

I have always felt that the rights or of converse can not only change your outfit but they can also change your mood. Well over the past couple of weeks this has been proven to me, so I felt I should share.
My girl is one of those woman who isn't very adventurous when it comes to fashion, but knows she should be. I believe she is no different than a lot of women, you know the type that only wear dress sandals stilettos, or leather boots. Or the ones that feel like trainers with jeans is a bummy look, so they would never do it. Sound familiar? Well I've tried to get my girl to rock a pair of converse for years, I just thought they would really suit her personality. Obviously she disagreed, and the debate went on.
Anyway, recently she actually decided to give them a shot. She bought a pair of cheap low cut All Stars, and she hasn't been the same since. Originally she said " it doesn't feel right, I feel like all I need now is a skateboard" but after some time the transformation was clear. Finally the woman who wouldn't leave the house unless she had a pair of boots on, was now wearing jeans and trainers and was confident in how she looked wearing them. She even said she was looking at pair of Vans today that she liked..............amazing!!
I know this won't be enough to convince all, but I promise if you at least give it a shot you won't be disappointed. Just do as my lady did, and try something different and it could mean the confidence boost you have been waiting for.

Okay maybe it's not your best friend, maybe it's your brother, sister, mother, father, you know someone close to you who always has the ability to see you in embarrassing situations. All it takes is an embarrassing moment and a camera phone and your a global star in seconds. Sucks doesn't it? However as bad as these situations are I have a feeling it's actually helping the fashion industry.
You see long ago before all this social media / web 2.0 stuff, there were just normal cameras and the film had to be developed. Then came the digital cameras, and the ability to transfer and save images instantly on computers, but these still weren't public.
Then came MySpace, Facebook,Flickr,Tumblr,Instagram,YouTube, and many other properties where friends and family can upload images and videos of you that you hate but the rest of the world will laugh at, over and over again. Like it or not even the most guarded person can be found on the internet.
So how is this changing the fashion landscape? Well it's not really changing it, it's just forcing people to become more aware of their appearance. Now just going over to a friends house and saying I don't care what I wear doesn't really happen. Even getting dressed to go grocery shopping requires more effort.
Lets face it the whole world can see us, so many people are recognising that the world is now just one big fashion show. This isn't really a new thought process in urban clothing, but it does show how urban clothing has gained so much traction, and how it has started to become universally accepted.
So the next time you decide to go and hangout with friends try and remember, someone always has a camera and if your not in top form, your fashion mistakes maybe immortalized on the Internet for generations to see.
