DMC was founded in 1983 to develop and promote the art form of DJing. With its pioneering spirit, DMC was the first company to release legal DJ mix tapes and promote club culture via the clubbers bible Mixmag (UK) and Mixer (USA). DMC was the first organisation to take clubbers to the dancefloors of Ibiza and Miami's Winter Music Conference. 1985 saw the launch of the DMC World DJ Championship, taking Battle DJs into a global competition to unearth the supreme DJ. It launched cutting edge record labels to nurture and develop DJs, producers and new artists and became a ground breaking player in the compilation market with titles including the much loved 'Back To Mine' series. 2010 sees a new creation, 1210 Apparel mens designer clothing.
